Chaverim Shel Shalom is a great opportunity for Jewish individuals (and people interested in Jewish culture) to celebrate Jewish holidays and social activities with others who have been stigmatized with psychiatric labels. The turnout at events is still relatively modest, so the people who come have a chance to really get to know each other.
The annual Chanukah party and Passover Seder with a Hagaddah we designed ourselves are very popular.
Jewish Family and Children's Service which operates
Chaverim Shel Shalom has moved in early 2005.
Pick up the phone, call Ellyn Salkin, Coordinator at 781 647 1913 and ask to be put on the mailing list.
You'll be very glad you did!

I also run a email list called Shalva, a discussion list for Jews with a psychiatric condition.
You can subscribe by sending email to
shalva-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
but then you won't have the full power of Yahoo! Groups.
Instead, I recommend you visit:
shalva and subscribe from there.
